Task Force on the District-based Approach Meetings
Terms of Reference

Task Force on the District-based Approach (地區為本扶貧工作專責小組) will assist the Commission on Poverty in overseeing the development of a multi-pronged framework for district-based approach to poverty prevention and alleviation, in particular – Commission on Poverty in -

to follow up with relevant bureaux and departments on the development of guidelines for the provision of additional funding to districts on sustainable poverty alleviation initiatives;
to oversee a study on the guiding principles in implementing the district-based approach, including the facilitative and support structure needed to address common and district-unique issues of concern;

to consider further ways to mobilise and energise district networks and resources to alleviate and prevent poverty, as well as disseminating good practices among districts; and

to make recommendations on the long-term strategy to implement the district-based approach taking into account the results of the study, the experience of the three pilot districts and other relevant projects/programmes.
